Album: Higher

Track No: 12

I was walking down a revolution
I saw the dry bones there
Then Jesus called and asked me a question
He said, "My child, why weren't you there?"
You could've saved a whole generation
They waited long for you
And while you sat in fear in the shadows
By saying daddy wouldn't let you
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh
I wish you would be free
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh
Be free completely
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh
Your life is yours to live
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh
I really need to be free, hey
I can walk, I can run
I can fly ever so high
If only you will let me, I will be free
In your shadow now be my destiny, hey
Like a bird, let me be free
Free to be me, I just want to be
Like a dream, allow me to soar
I know there is more, it's what I long for
Like a bird, let me be free
Free to be me, I just want to be
Like a dream, allow me to soar
I know say more dey
Na wetin I dey want e
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh (oh)
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh (oh)
I really need to be free
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh (oh)
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh
I really need to be free, hey
I was walking down a revolution
This time I took my place
Then Jesus handed me a revelation
I had fulfilled my destiny
Be free, be free
To be all that God has called you to be
Be free, be free
To be all that God has called you to be
Take the liberty, be free, be free
To be all that God has called you to be
Be free, be free
To be all that God has called you to be
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh (oh)
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-oh (oh)
I really need to be free
Nigeria be free
From coloniality
My mother let me free
I really need to be free, hey
Be free
To be all that God has called you to be
Be free, be free
To be all that God has called you to be, yeah
