There's 2000 Black
And of course
We're hoping that by the year 2000
We know that by the year 2000, that's even better
Everybody will be
Knowledgeable
You understand?
Everybody Black
2000 Black
2000 Black (2000 Black)
2000 Black (2000 Black)
2000
I want you and you and you and you
And especially you
To listen to me
Like many other Black men
I have a dream
Like many other
Black men
I have a vision with that dream
My dream and my vision
Are the coming together of
Black minds
Within this universe we live in
Now what I mean by the coming together-ness of Black minds
Is this
Better think about your future, y'all
And don't forget your past
'Cause all the days we've lived before
Cannot be lived again
And all our people's tears
Can not be shed again
Better think about your future now
And don't forget your past
Oh we need to change
It's a plain and simple fact
Think about your future, yeah
Think about where the present's at
Think about 2000 Black
Think about 2000 Black
Think about 2000 Black
Think about 2000 Black
By the time the year 2000 comes
Our minds will be as one
We must teach our people how to come
Together once again
As we grow as one
In unity
All the knowledge which we all contain
Must now expand our minds
Think about 2000 Black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 Black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 Black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 Black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 Black (Think about it)
(Think about it)
Think about 2000 Black
Think about 2000 Black
Think about 2000 Black
Think about 2000 Black
People, we need to change
It's a plain and simple fact
Think about your future
Think about where the present's at
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about you and me (Think about it)
Think about righteousness (Think about it)
Think about positive vibes (Think about it)
Think about togetherness (Think about it)
Togetherness, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Come on
Ah
Better think about your future, y'all
And don't forget your past
'Cause all the days we've lived before
Cannot be lived again
And all our people's tears
Can not be shed again
Better think about your future, y'all
And don't forget your past
And don't forget your past
And don't forget your past
Don't forget your past
Don't forget your past
Don't forget your past
Don't forget your past
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it) (Unity)
Think about unity, unity, unity, unity
Unity (Unity) (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it) (Unity)
Think about you and me
Think about 2000 Black
(2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black
2000 got to be Black)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about family (Think about it)
Think about family (Think about it)
Think about togetherness (Think about it)
Think about happiness (Think about it)
Think about your mind
Think about Africa (Think about it)
Think about Black Africa (Think about it)
Your mind, mind, mind, mind, mind, yeah
Yeah
(Think about it)
Think about it)
Think about it)
Yeah, mmm (Think about it)
Think about unity (Think about it)
Think about you and me (Think about it)
Think about expanding your mind (Think about it)
Think about feeling fine (Think about it)
Think about your mind (Think about it)
Think about our mind (Think about it)
Think about those Black minds (Think about it)
Think about your mind (Think about it)
Hey hey
(Think about it)
(Think about it)
(Think about it)
(Think about it)
(Think about it)
Think about those minds, our minds
Together, together
Together, 2000 Black
2000 Black, 2000 Black
Together, together
Ooh
Be aware, I do declare
Remember South Africa
Be aware, I do declare
Remember South Africa
Now, did you listen to the beat
To the beat of the drum?
Remember when and where it came from
It came from the continent called Africa
Now, by the time the year 2000 rolls around
I wanna have my mind together
Now, by the time the year 2000 comes
I wanna have our minds together
Now, by the time the year 2000 comes
We might disappear
But if you use your mind and expand your vision
You will hear that the year is near
And I want you to think about
Think about unity
Think about family
Think about prosperity
Think about righteousness
Think about positiveness
Think about excellence
Think about Blackness
Think about Africa
Think about men, women, children, everybody
With a strong mind
Think
Use you mind
And in time you'll unwind your mind
2000 Black (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it, say it, say it (2000 got to be Black)
Say it, say it, say it, say it (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, hey (2000 got to be Black)
Play the drum, come on (2000 got to be Black)
Uh huh, uh huh (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it again (2000 got to be Black)
Black, Black (2000 got to be Black)
Black, Black (2000 got to be Black)
Black, Black (2000 got to be Black)
Say it again, say it, say it, say it (2000 got to be Black)
Say it, say it (2000 got to be Black)
Say it, say it, say it, say it (2000 got to be Black)
Say it, say it (2000 got to be Black)
Say it (2000 got to be Black)
